Men’s Divorce, sponsor Cordell & Cordell and sister site DadsDivorce.com have teamed up to present a series of recap videos to keep you informed on the latest news and top stories for each of the websites.
Over the past month, Cordell & Cordell Principal Partner Joe Cordell posted a Huffington Post column in April offering some tips on how to succeed in court during your divorce.
Since the most intimidating aspect for the majority of divorcing clients is the actual court appearance, there are certain steps in your preparation that can reduce the stress. Some of these include strategizing with your attorney ahead of time, dressing professionally and being self-aware.
Dad’s Divorce published a new article explaining how to navigate the divorce process when you are caught off guard — something that many guys will experience since women initiate divorce nearly 70 percent of the time.
Since you typically have not had time to prepare for a divorce, it can be particularly difficult to handle. Finding a support group, getting your finances in check and preparing for new parental roles can help ease the transition for the next stage in your life.
Men’s Divorce posted an article covering the recently leaked Panama Papers, an 11.5 million document trove of business transactions from the Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca.
The documents exposed how the firm helped set up offshore shell corporations for affluent clients from around the world to shield their assets, which often included attempting to prevent a spouse from getting a fair share during an impending divorce.
