Men’s Divorce, sponsor Cordell & Cordell and sister site DadsDivorce.com have teamed up to present a series of weekly recap videos to keep you informed on the latest news and top stories.

This week, Cordell & Cordell announced two free Divorce 101 seminars, which will be held June 24 in Virginia Beach and June 25 in Cleveland.

These seminars, which are run by Cordell & Cordell attorneys, offer a crash course in divorce topics such as custody, child support and alimony. For more information or to register for the events, check out mensdivorceschool.com.

Dad’s Divorce posted a new article in the Divorce Dilemma column about how to avoid child support debt and contempt of court charges after a divorce.

In the post, “Dad X” writes about how it is possible for even well-intentioned fathers to fall behind on their payments and begin accruing arrears, which can result in jail time. It is important to continue making payments, even in difficult financial times.

Men’s Divorce published a new article about the additional difficulties potentially faced by families that have a stay-at-home parent after divorce.

Since the stay-at-home parent is typically the primary caregiver to children, they normally receive primary custody. This means the wage-earner will often be saddled with both child support and alimony, and the stay-at-home parent will remain reliant on those payments until they hopefully become financially self-sufficient.
