In this week’s news, family law attorney Jill Duffy received the 2014 Rising Star Award in Michigan. The prestigious accolade is only given to the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state as determined by Super Lawyers for attorneys who achieve a high level of professional achievement and peer recognition.
Dad’s Divorce published an article listing the worst states for getting a divorce. This list ranked the states with the most difficult requirements, including filing fees, separation periods, residency requirements and more.
