Cordell & Cordell News

In this week’s news, Cordell & Cordell announced that five attorneys have been named 2014 Rising Stars by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers.

Brad Cunningham and Heath Davis were recognized as Oklahoma Rising Stars, and Brittany Brown, Cherlyn Crosby-Herberts and Sean Riley were awarded the Missouri and Kansas Rising Stars designation.

Dad’s Divorce, a service of Cordell & Cordell P.C., answered a reader’s question over whether a court can enforce additional expenses required on top of child support if you are financially unable to make the payments. Much of this depends upon the laws of your state — some may have very rigid formulas that a judge must follow, while others may have the flexibility to take unique circumstances into account. An experienced family law attorney can help keep payments within your financial means.

Men’s Divorce, a service of Cordell & Cordell P.C., published a new article on enforcing visitation when the custodial parent denies your court-ordered parenting time. This can be a frustrating experience, but you want to avoid making some common mistakes and follow every legal channel you can. These include attempting to resolve the issue between parties, attempting to have local police assist with enforcing the order, utilizing the courts, continuing to pay child support and more.
